I had it made. I was climbing the ladder to a successful career as a Location Sound Mixer; a title I didn't even know existed when I was in school for audio. I met all the right guys in town and they helped me so much I can't believe they trusted me with their gear and their clients. Scot Charles and Charlie Tomaras were my gods. They helped me make more money than I ever imagined possible while having so much fun. They showed me tricks. The taught me vocabulary and how to negotiate contracts and what gear to buy. They showed me the whole career path not just the job. Finding consistent employment was difficult for years until I figured out how to market myself directly to the people that hire, without their guidance.

I was starting to work with world-renowned Camera Operators like Kevin Ely and Kevin Tomlinson, both inspiring documentaries. They allowed me to further explore the world of video.  I learned how to light interviews and how cool it is to share with my family that I have worked on shows like ABC's"60 Minutes" and MTV News.

Then MTV's "The Real World" came to town. My whole world changed that summer. After practically begging them to hire me, I found myself as one of only two locally-hired Sound Mixers. Most everyone else on the show was flown in from other States because they are considered such specialists. I found myself on one of the hardest projects I had ever worked on. The hours were long. My arms and shoulders ached sometimes from using a boom pole so much each day. Then they told us we were going to Nepal for 2 weeks. Record scratccchhhh........

"So I get to hide microphones on attractive people and then walk through Katmandu Nepal with them? I get paid to subversively record their conversations with James Bond-like devices and stay in fancy hotels? I get to ride on top of elephants while chasing Rhinos through the jungle and make more money than I've ever made in my life?
THIS IS MY JOB???!!!?????"

I couldn't believe it. I was finally being paid to be an international spy.

While this may sound like I had reached the height of my career, this show was only the beginning. I've since then been paid to travel to Hawaii (many times), Mexico (many times), Thailand, Switzerland, Colombia, the Galapagos Islands (Equador), Belize, Kuwait, India and England.

I've put microphones on: Jennifer Aniston, Adam Sandler, Peter Jennings, Jessica Simpson, Ozzy Osbourne, Mandy Moore, Jimmy Kimmel, Jenna Jameson, Tom Cruise, Olivia Newton-John, Elton John, William Shatner, Carmen Electra, Steven Tyler, Diane Sawyer, Tom Green and many, many, many, more...

I can help you get this type of work.

I want to do for you what Scot and Charlie did for me. I want to make it happen quicker for you than it did for me. In those years of struggle, I learned who and how to reach out to find those amazing jobs by myself. I have made a lot of mistakes but learned even more lessons, and now I'm offering up these short-cuts to you. I've got an organized strategy to teach you how to navigate one of the most challenging and rewarding careers anyone could have.

See you on-location!
